Placenta Encapsulation

If you are here, you likely already know about the many potential benefits of ingesting your placenta after birth.  Perhaps your best friend encapsulated her placenta and told you about her; increased milk supply, sense of calmness, increased rate of physical recovery, improvement in postpartum mood, or general sense of well being.  While these benefits have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration, many birthing parents view ingesting their placenta as a sort of “insurance policy”,  a way to help increase your potential to feel well and recover quickly from birth allowing you to focus on caring for your family.

BirthME  provides this service to our clients, and we do it in the safest way possible with some added benefit.  Our postpartum placenta specialists provide placenta encapsulation services that meet the highest safety standards in the market.  Our method assures that your placenta meets minimal exposure to outside bacteria, is safe for you to ingest and is indeed your placenta (sit on that one for a second) . We do this by exclusively providing this service in our clients homes.  Whether you want to watch every minute of the process and get to know your placenta, or you want only to see the finished product ready for consumption, we can make that happen while providing you with a safe and individualized preparation.

As an added bonus, our Postpartum Placenta Specialist are also trained postpartum doulas.  While they are in your home preparing your placenta, they can also provide additional support services.  Not sure how those nurses got that swaddle to stay?  Curious if your baby’s latch is good?  Wondering how many ounces your baby should be drinking at a feeding?  Looking for a local resource for lower back pain? Your Postpartum Placenta Specialist can answer these questions and many more.  Contact us to learn more.
